Mr. Henry “Mack” McCall, age 83, of Vidalia, died peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his home, after an extended illness. He was a native of Montgomery County, a 1958 graduate of Vidalia High School, and attended Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. He lived in Jacksonville for twenty-five years, in Cumming, Georgia eleven years before returning home to Montgomery County in 2002. He retired from Satellite Industries as a regional sales manager after many years. He was a member of Southside Estates Baptist Church and served as a business and music director. He was a member of the Ephesians Quartet in Jacksonville, and he attended First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon. He loved to sing, fish, and had a love for animals. He is preceded in death by his sons, Stephen Paul McCall in 2021 and Allen Wayne McCall in 2023; parents, Lawrence Burton McCall and Harriet Madena McQueen McCall; and two brothers, James Lawrence McCall and Johnny Frasier McCall.
His family includes his wife, Patricia Ann Storey McCall of Vidalia; one son Dr. Daniel Ethan McCall and wife April of Bartow, Georgia; one sister, Lizzie Ruth McCall Dugger of Oakwood; seven grandchildren, Jarrett, Stephen Henry, Sage, Luke, Ethan, Danielle, and Noah McCall; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, April 21st, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
